Commercial
Clearstone operates as both a full-service glazing contractor (for small-to-medium sized commercial projects) and as an installation specialist that coordinates with other contractors to ensure large-scale jobs are done on budget and on-time. Our commitment to excellence in execution and care for people means you can count on us to deliver for the team, no matter how complex the work, from curtain walls and storefronts to total vision office partition projects.
Commercial projects typically follow this process:
1
Tender Costing
and Formalising
Working closely with all the relevant contractors, we’ll provide tender values for labour. We draw from years of experience to offer parameters we can deliver on.
2
Schedule, Review,
and Plan
Upon a successful bid, we’ll begin working with contractors to review the designs, schedule the project, and create a clear execution plan alongside the other trades. Planning at this stage includes having clarity on the mechanisms needed for install and careful attention to safety procedures.
3
Measurements
When pre-construction is completed, we do our measurements to ensure that glass fabrication is done to the site’s specifications. For larger projects, we’ll coordinate with the other contractors to ensure fabrications for glazing and metalwork are done precisely and efficiently.
4
Installation and
Testing
Glazing for commercial projects is often executed with tight timelines, as the building needs to be waterproofed for interior installations. The efficiency in our installation never comes at the cost of excellence; we execute carefully and then participate in the testing for water and wind to confirm that everything is done right.
5
Envelope and
Aesthetic Finishes
With structural installations complete, we ensure the same level of execution on remaining installations, recognizing the importance of both safety and appearance for these final pieces.

Documentation and Commitment to Quality
At every step in the process, we document our work with photos and notes and do our own quality control, aiming to exceed the already-high standards of those we work for and with. We provide all the information needed by engineering advisors and check every aspect of our work before the general contractor does their inspections.
