Beltline

Beltline is a beautifully designed four-level office and flex space, situated off Broadway, near City Hall. It is a contemporary commercial strata office and flex industrial building situated in the centre of the growing and bustling Mount Pleasant community.

The building showcases sleek glass, concrete, and steel exterior and expansive glazing reaching 12 feet high on the ground floor and one curtainwall that was 50 feet high. The unique slab and roof offsets of this project entailed designing complex access solutions for the installation of oversized glazing — some pieces 70 square feet and weighing 440 pounds.

 

The project required using scissor lifts that had to be craned into position. All the oversized glazing required cranes and power cups to move and install. Cladding and concrete details varied throughout the project, so we worked closely with the other contractors to ensure precise manufacturing of material and glazing. Our work passed our own deficiency walkthroughs before any external assessments were done.
